Anthony “Judge” Tisdale
Judge grew up in Fallon, Nevada, and began flying at the age of 19, earning his Private Pilot Certificate. He went on to graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and quickly advanced through his aviation training—earning Instrument, Commercial, Multiengine, ATP, and CFI/CFII/MEI certificates, along with multiple jet type ratings.
In addition to his aviation accomplishments, Judge earned a Juris Doctor from BYU Law School but ultimately chose to pursue his lifelong passion for aviation. Selected for U.S. Air Force Pilot Training, he flew both the F-15C and A-10C, and today continues to serve as a drill-status Guardsman fighter pilot with the Nevada Air National Guard.
When not conducting checkrides or serving in the Guard, Judge flies internationally as a FedEx pilot, operating long-haul routes around the world. He also serves his hometown community as Churchill County Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore.
Judge is deeply passionate about aviation and about serving rural Nevada, where he continues to mentor and inspire the next generation of pilots. His commitment to professionalism, fairness, and community defines both his approach as a Designated Pilot Examiner and his dedication to the state he proudly calls home.
